Steel and Reclaimed Wood Walter Desk by Richard Velloso

With the warm aesthetic of time worn oak and the sleek presence of hot rolled steel, the Walter Desk is a study of hot and cold; smooth and rough; new and old; rustic and industrial; brown and grey as well as artistic and functional. Created by Richard Velloso in his Olga studio ( named after his chocolate Lab “Olga”), this handmade desk comes in two sizes; large at 65″Hx37″Wx30″H and small at 48″Lx24:Wx30″H.

There is something strikingly appealing about the steel surface and legs and while just those features are enough to want this desk, the added layer of reclaimed oak for the drawer sections makes this table just that much more amazing. The wood is left unfinished to expose the marks that define its former life and these little bits of history mean each desk is uniquely different. Gotta love it!
