Elegant Beachside House Design in Miami Beach

Besides its prime seafront location in Miami Beach, the value of this residence is also given by its pure yet sumptuous design. Sumptuousness is not necessarily about excess, it is about style, elegance and balance in this case. Designed by rGlobe Architecture, the residence is erected on two floors and consists of two intersecting wings. The main wing is oriented parallel to the sea, in order to create sea views for all the rooms. In front of this wing there is an infinity pool which seems to be overflowing directly into the sea. The second wing intersects the main one creating two different structures. The biggest part is at the back of the house, on the street side. The other, which seems to push its way to the beach, cantilevers towards the front of the house creating a spectacular master bedroom. The ground floor of this wing is detached from the rest of the house and it represents the garage and a technical space. The second floor that sits on top is connected to the main wing by a bridge with glass balustrades.

The facades are treated in three main materials. The garage box and the entrance gate are made in a see-through wood structure, while the main house is concrete and glass. The white painted concrete creates mostly boxes and frames that are then filled with glazed walls, doors and windows.
We see very clearly the concrete frames at the front facade. Inside the main concrete frames we have secondary black metal frames that create the dynamic and rhythm of the house.
The wing at the back of the house is connected to the main residence by a covered bridge protected by glass balustrades. This a bit more isolated space creates an independent guest suite, with its own kitchenette.
The amazing kitchen overlooks the sea. The mat white cabinets are dressed up in a thick layer of greyish marble. The suspended hood is a marble black growing out of the ceiling. Its heaviness disappears due to its suspended position, which makes it look like floating in the air.
The carved out wooden staircase is the masterpiece of the house. It spirals up filtering the light at the top and creating a visual partition between the entrance gallery and the rest of the open space.
Stained white marble is the material of choice for the master bathroom as well. It panels the walls full-height, creating a precious background for the classical freestanding bathtub. The vanity block is made of two washbasins that face each other and that share the same double-faced ceiling suspended mirror.
