Contemporary South African Architecture Features Local Luxuries

This contemporary South African architecture designed by Cape Town-based Antonio Zaninovic has a way of fitting in with its surroundings. Though monolithic, this resort style home fits right in here at the base of Table Mountain, thanks to the use of locally sourced materials and the integration of outdoor entertaining areas into its design. An interior courtyard gives the house plan a private piece of the outdoors, visible through the home’s many windows throughout. These views are surpassed only by those facing outward – a massive picture window overlooks the harbor and the lush outdoor landscaping, which is as meticulously designed as the minimalist interiors, both designed by New York City-based Rees Roberts + Partners. Scandinavian and Japanese influences give the luxury house a wonderful exotic flair. Antonio Zaninovic
