Contemporary Country House by Austrian Architects

Designed by Austrian architecture firm Propeller Z, this contemporary country house crosses the line between tradition and innovation. Designed on a humble budget of just 70,000 Euros, this 200-year-old farmhouse was given an extension, and thus, new life. The ultra-modern addition to this hillside home is raised in relation to the original rustic structure, and houses the kitchen and living areas and is open completely to the south with floor-to-ceiling glass walls to take in the peaceful surroundings. The architects still maintained the authentic countryside home roots, with exposed brick, wood-burning fireplace features and an open concept house plan to promote socializing and family gatherings.
