Beautiful Home “Climbs” the Pacific Pallisades – Hillclimber House by Kovac Architects

This contemporary canyon house, set in the Pacific Pallisades of Los Angeles, boasts a contour that climbs up the hillside, hence the name – Hillclimber House. This modern three-storey design by Kovac Architects features a form that’s in-step with the steep slope. As described by the architects, “a simple hierarchy of spaces is reflected in the forms and materials used,” namely the angled ceilings, stone accents and hardwood dressing both the exterior and interior of the home. Inside, the warm woods contrast the modern, minimalist plaster walls and smooth ceilings. Outside, stone walls form the base of this design rustic yet refined design, while the upper wall seems to go on endlessly with its flowing infinity pool. Kovac Architects
