Modern House Near Wyoming Mountains Takes Advantage of its Location
This classically modern house is the project of Carney Logan Burke Architects. It stands near Jackson Hole in the view of Glory Peak and the Teton Mountain Range; its site flat, open, and grassy as most in the neighborhood.
The 4,500-square-foot residence features all the attributes of a modern home with its flat roof, numerous windows for indoor/outdoor feel, and beautiful wooden siding.
The clients had an idea of a contemporary home with a spacious but intimate feel, so there are areas with less glass, but each room has views of the glorious outdoors.
Areas around the house are, too, inviting and convenient to move around. There is an outdoor dining room in the yard, and a wooden deck that runs toward different house accesses.
Wood-heavy interior corresponds with the exterior. White plaster, however, prevents the house from looking like a log cabin.
Breathtaking views from each side make this a perfect vacation house, and that’s a great change of scenery for the residents from New York.
