Modern Interiors, Unique Design – Wall House in Santiago, Chile

Who knew a wall could make such a dramatic focal point for the home? The Wall House, designed by Frohn&Rojas Architects, challenges the concept of building by deconstructing construction. Built in Santiago, Chile, the contemporary Wall House design breaks through the figurative “wall” of homebuilding by delaminating and repositioning the four layers of a wall – “the concrete cave, stacked shelving, the milky shell and the soft skin.” The outermost layer is an energy screen – typically used in greenhouses – which creates a climatized interior while allowing light to pass through, flooding the space with natural light. Between the four layers of wall you’ll find the home’s living areas. From the exterior, the Wall House resembles an oversized tent, while on the inside it’s a richly appointed abode, right down to the final detail. Frohn&Rojas.
