Inside Outside Architecture in Urban Japan

Here’s an interesting spin on inside outside architecture. Japanese architecture firm Takeshi Hosaka designed this great outdoor living house plan in an inside-out way – nature indoors, and indoors brought outside for a new twist on traditional living spaces. The concrete and glass house blurs the boundary between in and out – sliding glass doors transform a covered garden into an outdoor dining room, while the zigzagging roof boasts elongated skylights that let nature and natural light in from above. Exposed concrete walls inside add a raw aesthetic to interiors, while warm timber softens the look and solidifies the home’s natural appeal. inside-outside-architecture-japan-1.jpg
