This modern country house, entitled 47°40’48”n/13°8’12”e, denies any apparent relations with the landscape, but ultimately adapting to it. The country design is quite simple and conveniently done, making the construction able to fit into location. The modern structure consists of two masive concrete slabs, placed above and below a glass frame. Inside, there are nine timber structures setting clear delimitation lines within the glass box. What comes as a result is the possibility of establishing infinite interior configurations. The relations between the small spaces inside the house are more important than what simultaneous actions could be taking place instead. Currently, this construction is situated on a slightly sloping meadow, completing the landscape when seen from both inside and outside the house. Maria Floeckner & Hermann Schnoll Architects
