Concrete Home Design in Switzerland - modern concrete moves into rural!

Swiss architects Stoosarchitekten designed this cool three-storey house in Switzerland. Simplicity is the key to the modern design of Haus Kern. The home’s exterior is built into the hillside with a facade unadorned. The plain concrete exterior boasts a contemporary, industrial look with few details, but many windows and glass doors that add architectural interest to the design while opening it up to the outdoors. The windows – large and staggered along the home’s facade – serve to give this cool design a shape within its customary cube profile. Inside, these windows flood this home with natural light, illuminating the warm and welcoming floors and finishes of luxurious, honey-colored wood. A gorgeous glass-enclosed patio is indoors, but with a feeling of outdoors through the deck floor and sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Stoosarchitekten
