House Among Pines by Spanish Architects Xpiral

Spanish architects Xpiral designed the "House Among Pines" in Murcia, Spain - and the name couldn't be better suited. This underground home design - well, it's partially built into the mountain - lets the homeowners enjoy contemporary style and cozy comfort, with a strong connection to nature. The interior courtyard house plan boasts a C-shaped layout surrounding a central garden, enclosed in glass walls that flood interiors with natural light. The outer facade also features expansive glazing, but offers privacy through the incorporation of an overhanging bent roof. Interiors have a cool, industrial-chic edge, while outward, the mountain house offers views on the surrounding city and countryside from its high-up hotspot; a forest home perfect for observing its surroundings from a comfortable, calm distance.
