A permanent shadow is cast onto this live-work home in the most beautiful way. Designed by DV Architekten on a lot marked by a grand old tree, this contemporary combination home/office building features a facade of translucent fiberglass-reinforced plastic boasting an imprint of the tree’s shadow, its branches creeping around corners and across an otherwise stark exterior. The unique look is essentially a graphic applied between several layers of resin for a durable and lasting finish. The result is a modern building made for both work and play. DV Architekten
