Concrete and Glass Home blends with the Andes

Rivaling the breathtaking views of the Andes just outside, this stunning concrete and glass home by Peruvian architect Juan Carlos Doblado brings a bit of that South American flair to residential architecture. Set into a sloped lot, the house is organized in two parallel concrete volumes, separated by a courtyard entrance. The home vast glass walls slide open, allowing not just amazing views from every room, but direct outdoor access into the nature that surrounds it. The main living spaces – the kitchen, living areas and bedrooms – occupy the front volume, which is half-buried into the sloping land. The second volume of the home houses the casual family room and guest accommodations. Juan Carlos Doblado
