Maybe it’s the vibrant red color or the punchy black-and-white checkerboard tiles, but this wonderful modern home reminds us of something out of Alice in Wonderland. This modern Chile architecture designed by 57Studio and is 1,658 sq. ft. of residential and professional space in perfect balance. The live work house plan features a dual volume layout, with the red and white main volume occupied by the living quarters and the brown, “pipeline” shaped space housing the hairdresser studio. The fiber-reinforced concrete walls allow for this modular arrangement of space. Large windows and glass doors soak interiors in natural light, while swinging windows and solid facade panels facilitate natural ventilation. Minimalist interiors evoke a sense of whimsy through unusual and contemporary furnishings.
