Folded Houses: Cool Japan Architecture Design

This cool folded house designed by contemporary Japanese architecture firm Alphaville breaks from convention, opting instead for open varied volumes in place of traditional rectangular rooms, and a "folded" wall running down the center, lined with windows that infuse interiors with natural indirect light. The reinforced concrete house spans three storeys and a cozy 100m2, but it feels much larger thanks to its creative layout. The minimalist interiors feature a clean white palette, and carte blanche for the architecture that sets the tone in this modern architectural design. An angular staircase leads you up through the home - it's as much a fabulous focal point as it is a functional one. Alphaville
