Contemporary Home Complements Nature

Just north of Medellin, Colombia, the Refuge House by G Ateliers Architecture is a modern example of how contemporary home complements land. With the expressed goal of blending in, eight structures are built right into the landscape, peeking out from their hillside enclosure and overlooking the vast valley below. Designed to minimize environmental impact while still achieving its intended architectural impact, the Refuge House boasts a Green roof, patio, floor-to-ceiling windows and wood-clad walls that further solidify the relationship between nature and modern construction.
