It seems purple is popping up everywhere lately so we got inspired and decided to put together a purple color interior trend post for you today. Purple is regal, royal, mystical and spiritual. It demands a certain respect, especially those with darker tones, and it’s a wonderful color for promoting creativity. Purple, which refers to both indigo and violet in the color spectrum, is a mixture of blue and red – cold and warm. So you can attain a lot of different interior moods depending on the blue and red balance of the hue, the tone and its intensity. Let’s have a look at some of our most favorite purple rooms for some inspiration:

Have fun with pops of red or orange: These rooms really come alive due to the extra warm, extra vibrant pops of color. Red and orange directly follow purple on the color wheel, a sort of analogous scheme, but with a focus on accents.

Keep it in the family: These almost monochromatic schemes are dramatic and intense – but not in the same way it would be if the color of choice was red. Therefore, purple might be a good color to chose if your into the monochromatic thing.
