Peek-A-Boo Architecture by Room 11

We love the indoor-outdoor appeal of peek-a-boo architecture. Australian architects Room 11 are the designers of this contemporary courtyard house design, which focuses as much on the indoor experience as the outdoor one. From the exterior, the house has a modest silhouette with an opening in its dramatic, dark facade, luring you in with its wide yawn. The interior courtyard is enclosed in glass, blurring the boundary between indoors and out. Beyond the sliding glass doors, interiors are warm and woody. An open-concept kitchen, living and dining area, and deck is drenched in honey-colored timber – knots and all. A fireplace feature is the piece de resistance of this cozy Australia home design.
