La Pavoni Semi-Automatic “Cellini” Espresso Machine

la-pavoni-cellini-espresso-machine.jpg
La Pavoni ‘Cellini’ Espresso Machine is another stunning example of post modern design by Carlo Gallizi. It looks like it’s just landed… or more like it just surfaced… The submarine-style gauges show coffee and steam output. The design is a combination of applied science and industrial style details. The brass filter holder is oversized similar to commercial grade espresso machines. And it’s semi-automatic – the unused water is returned back into the water reservoir to assure fresh tasting coffee every time. The chrome plated (and finger print resistant) steel body with top cup warmer is removable for cleaning. Powered by a quiet pump, La Pavoni Cellini produces creamy espresso without disturbing others. Thanks to a convenient top-loading 64 oz water container, the unit is capable of producing 30 espresso or cappuccinos, and you can add water when its on or off. Use ground coffee or pre-packaged coffee pods with a built-in pod adaptor. Made in Italy by La Pavoni. Buy it at Studio LX.

La Pavoni ‘Cellini’ Espresso Machine features two useful attachments that are removable for easy cleaning: the ‘super froth’ attachment for quick and easy Cappuccino frothing and the patented ‘Cappuccino Automatic’ attachment that let you draw milk directly out of a container before frothing and dispensing directly into your cup. The Cellini will not allow you to scald the milk before producing the necessary froth. Its initial warm-up time is 2 minutes. Sells for around $600. It measures 13″ high x 10″ wide x 8″ deep and weights 18 lbs.
