Ranging from $3.5 million to an undisclosed amount of more than $15 million, luxury living at 56 Leonard Street, in Manhattan’s Tribeca district, truly is privileged living. Rising 57 storeys above New York, this staggered design by architects Herzog & de Meuron and developer Alexico Group looks as though it might topple, each floor, each residence hanging precariously over New York City. This modern multi-residential structure houses 145 residences – each unique and ultra-contemporary in its own way. A contemporary cantilevered facade features protruding layers of balcony, blending indoor and outdoor living and gracing its residents with views as far as the Atlantic Ocean. At its base sits a sculpture by artist by Anish Kapoor, built into the architecture and imposing an opposing fluidity against the building’s technical style.
