Contemporary Sheep Stable in the Netherlands

A quiet farm is home to something quite extraordinary in architectural aptitude. This ultra-contemporary Sheepstable in Almere, the Netherlands, was designed by 70F Architecture to house the town’s sheep population of 80. With an area of 400 m2, the modern, asymmetrical stable structure boasts an arched steel frame, with construction and cladding entirely of wood, adding a unique yet rustic architectural element to the pastoral surroundings. The open-concept interior accommodates the livestock in the lower level, while an upper level is divided into a storage space for hay, and a living area for the shepherd. 70F Architecture.
