Skateboard House in Malibu designed by a boarder, for a boarder

You may think the concept of the “Skateboard House” has only been executed as a joke by the likes of Bam Margera of MTV’s Jackass fame, but this unusual California house has also been boldly brought to life by skateboarder and designer Gil Lebon Delapointe and Los Angeles-based architect Francois Perrin for client Pierre Andre Senizergues (PAS) – a world champion, pro skater and the brain behind Sole Technology, his very own skateboard footwear and apparel company. This unusual house can easily be appreciated for both its modern architectural aesthetic as well as for its skateboard friendly curves, inside and out.

This skate park cum home will sit high in the hills of Malibu, overlooking the sparkling waves of the Pacific and capturing the best California has to offer in one rad design. From the exterior, PAS House appears as a single ribbon continuing its way around an endless loop, from its arched walls to its curved roof, ready to ride! When it comes to sport and culture, this house definitely has a leg up.

Inside, the unique house design has been divided into three areas – the living space, the sleeping space, and of course, the skating space. Rounded walls, floors and ceilings blend into one another, creating a 10 ft. diameter half pipe. The fluid layout lets the homeowner skate from one room to the next, uninterrupted.

Integrated furniture and features like low shelving, steps and ramps, even the dining room table, offer a great spot to freestyle or practice the latest tricks.
