Amsterdam’s architecture firm SeARCH has put a really modern twist on this farmhouse renovation in Zutphen, Netherlands. The architects went about the task of transforming a traditional brick farmhouse into a modern residence, embracing contemporary living while still honoring the historical and spatial characteristics of the original structure and its surroundings. Located in Hertfordshire, UK, the House at Piper's End is like an onion - boasting many layers which, when peeled back, reveal something totally unexpected underneath.
