Redefining the “charming home in the ‘burbs,” Johnsen Schmaling Architects have designed Ferrous House in Spring Prairie, Wisconsin. Reinvented, renovated and revamped from the ground up, the original 1970s structure was demolished, apart from the original foundation, plumbing and main perimeter walls. Built on a slight slope among the trees, the modern new 1,380-sq.-ft. ranch style home features a contemporary cube shape with a facade of steel panels.
