This gorgeous contemporary house, called House for Two Artists in San Diego, California was designed for two artists who, like the architects, have an undeniable love of nature. The contemporary design idea by modern architects Taal Safdie and Ricardo Rabines features a wonderful addition to the existing house – a 500-sq.-ft. glass-enclosed sunroom that gives this home a great sense of the outdoors, inside. The main volume and a loft space housed in the adjoining tower boast operational clerestory windows which flood the space with bright, natural light. Opening onto a patio, this amazing home carries that same sense of the outdoors into living spaces, which feature lots of skylights and windows, and Mexican stone floors that complement the dark, natural wood accents throughout.
