House with Hammock Tower

This is the house with the hammocks – there are at least seven hammocks spread out around the concrete structure. We’ve got four on the bottom level to enjoy the pool and garden. And three more up in the tower to enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean. Aren’t they a great color? And of course, it’s picked up throughout the magnificent property. From the front gates, to throw rugs, to balustrades – it’s pretty much the only color in the house. And it plays so well against the cement. Also notice how the thread lines of the hammocks are picked up in the design of the stair railings and balustrades. We’d expect nothing less from such a prominent architectural firm. Designed by Cadaval & Sola-Morales, who have offices in Barcelona and Mexico City, the TDA house is on the west coast of Oaxaca, Mexico. Where the sunsets match the hammocks. Brilliant.
