Hanrahan Meyers Architects has designed the Holley House – a chic New York sanctuary with a feel that’s miles away from the hustle and bustle of the Manhattan loft lifestyle. This idyllic countryside location makes the perfect home for this modern rural house. And as far as large country homes are concerned, this one’s a doozy. With a laid-back appeal, the sprawling 7,000-sq.-ft. house isn’t overwhelming at all. The rustic-looking, local quarried stone is a predominant feature both inside and out. With a low profile, flat roof and a strong horizontal presence, this contemporary ranch style home is welcoming with its outdoor deck running the perimeter.
