Eleek brings us the Masa collection: 100% post-consumer recycled aluminum hardware with a bold, modern aesthetic sensibility. The pieces are an original design that embodies “the formal sensibilities of classic Japanese design”. Which could explain why the collection is named after the company’s favorite Portland sushi chef.

In addition to using recycled aluminum, Eleek strives to incorporate green practices into the daily mechanics of running a business. The company sources aluminum locally from The ReBuilding Center (located less than a mile from their Portland shop) and 80% of their supplies are obtained within an 80-mile range. They operate on green electricity supplied by Pacific Power, use 100% recycled stock to make copies, and their silicone molds last for several thousand pours. Eleek has received awards from the Portland Office of Sustainable Development and Sustainable Industries Journal.
Post-consumer recycled aluminum is also used for creating the company's lighting products, such as the custom Calliope chandelier featured on Trendir.
