OLA 25, by Snaidero and Pininfarina, could change the way kitchens are built. It’s not often that we find a design that makes our jaw drop, but this is one of them. To celebrate 25 years of collaboration, Edi Snaidero and Paolo Pininfarina created this limited edition kitchen island worktop made of 84 components to help you choose the style and configuration that most suits your lifestyle. The island is nothing if not sculptural, with smooth, sleek lines. The material is carbon fibre with a glossy black lacquer finish. The cabinet doors are made from micalised lacquer finish in champagne, and the work surface is clear black glass. And the sum of the parts add up to something spectacular. Clearly contemporary and modern, the style is also classic at the same time – not an easy feat to accomplish. This high style kitchen island and worktop would be at home anywhere from a modern glass-walled loft to a traditional fine home. Combining design with function is not always simple, although Sanidero and Pininfarina make it appear so. That, of course, is the work of true masters. Salute!
