Contemporary House Architecture – Ravine House in Urban Canada

Canadian Architecture firm Cindy Rendely Architexture is the name behind face of this stunning contemporary house architecture in Canada. The north Toronto neighborhood features century-old homes and neo-historical chateaus, which provide a wonderful contrast for this contemporary ravine residence, a natural house design that embraces nature both inside and out. Taking advantage of this climate’s changing seasons, the glass wall house boasts views of trees and lush greenery from virtually every spot in the home. Whether inside or out, nature plays a key role in this urban house design. The U-shaped floor plan encompasses three volumes, wrapping around an interior courtyard house plan. Inside, local materials set the tone for a down-to-earth yet elegant interior design, characterized by white-washed natural white oak, and Eramosa limestone displayed in its many beautiful forms: honed, sandblasted, polished, acid-etched, split-faced and bush-hammered.
