Solid Wood Low Stool Collection from Riva 1920

Ever since the set up of the company in 1920, the family owned Riva 1920 has been on a quest to create time defying furniture that respects nature. Wood is their fetish, and they create incredible pieces by carving, molding and shaping it in unexpected ways. Two characteristics best describe the Riva 1920 low stool collection: craftsmanship and fun. It’s like a group of children had been given play-dough and asked to create funny stools for their toys. The craftsmen really set their imagination free and created solid wood stools that mock objects of the day-to-day life such as a bucket, a tire, a washing machine and many others. Most of the pieces are designed in house, by Maurizio Riva and Davide Riva, but some are created by international designers. Even though they have an immediate functionality as stools, they actually don’t really need one. They can be used as decoration objects for their artistic rather than functional value. They are poetic objects that will be admired wherever they are displayed. Your imagination is the only limit!
