Designed by Patricia Urquiola, the new Maia Rope by Kettal is an upgrade of the classic Kettal Maia furniture collection. It’s made with a hand-braided nautical rope and teak legs, to achieve a lighter and even more elegant furniture design. With this upgrade, different models come with different components – aluminum or teak legs, for one. The signature pattern, created with knotted yarn, can only be achieved with hand-braiding. Some are more at home outdoors, some in. But really, any of the pieces could be used in any setting. The chairs are classic arm and dining chairs, with a woven twist and high style. The Egg Swing chair is a throwback to mid-century wicker swing chairs. Can you imagine curling up in this? Cushion materials are made from Chenille and Porotex fabrics and are available in various earthy tones.
