Though many companies and designers have come up with solutions to modernize the looks of your kitchen, very few have attempted to introduce change in the traditional makeup of the kitchen environment. This kitchen, from Italian manufacturer Vacucine's "Artematica" line, takes a more thorough approach to the contemporary kitchen than a simple revision of shapes and surfaces of the room's fixtures. Delving deep into the kitchen's different functions, this appliance set attempts to streamline the operations of a home's kitchen through design prowess. While traditional cabinets and drawers are not ignored as useful space, they are supplemented by fold-out cubbies and sliding doors that reveal specialized nooks for a kitchen's most-needed supplies. In addition, numerous storage, cooking, and preparation spaces are conglomerated into a few graceful and multifunctional pieces, allowing for maximum use of a kitchen's space.
All of this practical brilliance is fine on its own, but the modern design of Valcucine's kitchen is the element that really brings the whole picture to light. The stovetop has all the hallmarks of a typical modern architectural design, with a sleek stainless-steel finish and 90-degree edges. It transitions into the countertop next to it in an innovative fashion that integrates it without making it indistinct from the counter. The other piece of the puzzle, the fridge, microwave, and storage unit on the other side of the kitchen, has sliding panels made from humidity-resistant glass and featuring a black-and-white kitchen utensil motif. It, too, has a boxy contemporary design, as does each individual piece within it.
