Stone Forest New Zero Pedestal
Stark primitive shapes bring the Stone Forest Zero Pedestal a serious minimalist style. The shallow basin pushes and explores the basin vanishing point, a deep bevel creating a tapered square bowl. Despite the strict geometric form and the heavy stone construction, the Stone Forest Zero Pedestal achieves a surprising lightness with it's open base. The openness also reveals the supporting pipe work, which lend this pedestal a practical and functional essence. Shown here in honed basalt the dark surface offers a subtle understated style that still retains a commanding presence. Created by the master stone carvers at Stone Forest, the Zero Pedestal offers a Zen like simplicity and a flavour of Asian style.
