Leather Floor and Wall Tile by Edelman Leather - a new trend
While not to Edelman's, it's very new to us... the leather floor and wall tile. It's definitely a new product and a new trend. According to manufacturer, these tiles have long life and can be used at home, office, hotel, private yacht and jet, bar, theater, and club. Bathroom and kitchen are not where you would install them. Sized up to 18” x 18” and are 3.0-3.5mm thick. Glued right to AC plywood the soft leather tiles suppress sounds and add warm and cozy feeling to the room. Using the same process as in making fine saddlery, leather tiles are made strong through vegetable tanning. While the cost and wear and tear of the leather floor is about the same as with a quality hardwood, the leather floor will develop a rich patina and age beautifully.
